Contact support@campfiregrace.com for privacy enquiries. This notice is intended to address the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), and other data protection laws where applicable.

2. Information involved

  • When you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the message and any attachments.
  • Website hosting and delivery services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and security or error logs.
  • This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to obtain those fonts, which may disclose technical information such as your IP address.

You do not need to create an account to browse the website. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.

3. Purposes and lawful grounds

Personal information is used to respond to enquiries, handle music licensing or rights requests, operate and protect the website, and meet applicable legal obligations. Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on your consent, steps needed for an agreement, a legal obligation, or a legitimate interest such as website security or responding to correspondence. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing.

4. Service providers and external platforms

Hosting, email and font providers may process information needed to supply their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect lawful rights. Music and social platforms process information under their own privacy policies when you use them; this notice does not govern those platforms.

Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where we transfer personal information internationally, applicable legal requirements, including POPIA’s cross-border safeguards, must be met.

5. Cookies and browser technologies

The current website does not include a label-operated account, advertising tracker or newsletter signup. Hosting and third-party services may use technical browser technologies as part of providing their services. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. If optional analytics, advertising or other tracking is introduced, this notice and any legally required consent controls will be updated.

6. Retention and security

Personal information should be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Retention depends on the type of enquiry and any legal or rights-related obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect information, but no online service or email transmission is completely secure.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Email support@campfiregrace.com with your request. We may need proportionate proof of identity before disclosing or changing information. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations.

You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator, or the competent data protection authority where applicable.
